You Had Me at Quilted

Hope you all had a great relaxing weekend! Mine was quite busy since I'm only in LA for the weekend before I fly to New York again for a super exciting project! I was surprised to come back to gloomy and drizzly weather in LA but I'm not complaining because I get to finally wear this jacket out. I'm sure you've noticed, but I have a minor obsession with quilted things especially in leather (or faux leather) so it was love at first sight when I laid my eyes on it.

Charcoal and Maimee in Kentucky

Just got the most amazing headphones from BCBG. I can finally ditch my giant black headphones when I'm flying!

Charcoal has been flying since he was a few months old so he's a pro when it comes to plane rides! Wish I can fall asleep as easily as him. ;)

I always try to live by this quote: Be so happy that when others look at you, they become happy too! 

I love my red and blue Chanel espadrilles and wear them all the time because they are so comfy (and cute!) So glad they came out with new pastel colors!

Meet Harley: He was hit by a car and left to die on the side of the rode with a broken hip until he was rescued by STAR. Wesley Mason's mom (who volunteers at STAR) was fostering him so that he can recover and eventually get adopted but fell in love with him (I mean, how could you not?) thus adopted him. STAR is ran by volunteers who love animals and it would be so grateful if you guys can donate to STAR so that they can continue to rescue dogs and cats and foster them. I haven't worn this metallic sweater for so long. I first wore it here when I was in San Francisco and during my 20 minute packing time (seriously, I've never packed so fast before!) the sweater caught my eyes and I knew instantly what I was going to wear it with.

Bold Moves

We took these photos a couple of weeks ago in LA on a breezy Sunday. Oversized t-shirt dresses are so easy to wear regardless of the weather. I normally wear these during the summer or warmer months with flats and sandals (like here) but for chillier months like this day, I styled it with my favorite knee high boots from Zara and a floppy hat that I used to wear all the time (remember the hat from this post?)

Country Chic in Kentucky

The weather in Kentucky is quite the perfect fall weather. I've been wanting to wear this faux shearling jacket and I'm so glad I packed it during my 20 mins of packing time the day I left (I literally had 20 minutes to pack the day I was leaving. I promise, I'm not that big of a procrastinator but I've really, really, have been that busy.) I also knew I was going to need warmer pants so I packed my favorite fall denim (last seen here) and wore them together. It's so quiet and tranquil here, it's definitely the vacation that I've needed although the workaholic in me is always on my phone working. 

Can't wait to check out the flea market here! If it's anything like American Pickers, I might score some goodies!

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving with your loved ones! I spent mine in Kentucky with Wesley Mason's family. Although I've been to Kentucky numerous times, it's my first time here during fall so it's really nice to see orange hued leaves everywhere.

As a t-shirt lover and lover of all basics with a twist, I've found a new label that I cannot get enough of.
